War and Health Care bankrupting our country. Why must we continue to fund the wars? What have we accomplished from the continued efforts? We need to re-evaluate the what and why? That being said, now to a subject that continues to annoy me - Health Care! For years, I commented to anyone who would listen concerning the insurance debacle. Insurance companies for profit - comes greed and bottom line at the expense of individuals, i.e, shoddy health care, via denied procedures and/or medication. Requiring NOT for profit could repair health care issues thus the deficit, however, that would require eliminating lobbiest … Did you know years ago (2009) UHC in one quarter - not a year mind you … ONE QUARTER even with decreased enrollment due to unemployment, the company posted record earnings of $859 million dollars. Again, that is one quarter not a year! How is that possible? Further to address another issue, why was UHC allowed to merge? Laws in place to prevent Monopolies, law suits filed against company for misconduct yet mergers continued…Ummmm our laws to protect us not enforced…Ummmm do I dare speculate and evoke my opinion regarding this issues and others that continue to plague us on Wall Street and around our country?
